Lake Mills baseball opened summer league play with a 6-0 home win versus Marshall on Thursday, June 9.

Lake Mills starter Eddy Eveland pitched three no-hit innings with seven strikeouts, four walks to earn the win. Payton Klettke fanned four and allowed two hits in three frames.

In the home half of the first, Brody Henderson singled in a run, Payton Klettke drove home a run on a fielder’s choice and Eveland helped his own cause with a two-out, two-run single to right.

After Eveland struck out the side in the Marshall half of the second, Caden Belling doubled with one away in the Lake Mills second, later scoring on an error to make it 5-0. Klettke added a run-scoring single.

Lake Mills leadoff man Cooper Murphy had three hits and Belling finished 2-for-2, scoring twice while drawing a pair of walks.
