If Christmas dinner was a disaster, or you burnt your New Year's Eve canapes, it might be time for a new oven. And with many stores offering discounted prices at this time of year, it can be a good time to buy.

Brands such as AEG, Bosch and Siemens are popular with Which? members. They often do well in our tests, but can be pricey.

And when it comes to our lab tests, some models from budget brands, such as Beko, Belling and Zanussi, have been known to punch above their weight, too.

We've just finished assessing the accuracy, cooking prowess and ease of cleaning of 15 ovens at our test lab. Three made the grade as Which? Best Buys.

Below we've listed three popular ovens that you might find on sale. But are they Best Buys? You'll need to read our oven reviews to find out.

This stainless steel, single oven from AEG currently costs around £335. It's not a bad price, but we saw it being sold at John Lewis and AO for just £259 over Christmas, so if you're interested, it might be worth holding out for another sale.

It doesn't have fancy extras, such as pyrolytic self-cleaning or a meat probe, but you do get a spacious oven that will fit the family turkey for Christmas 2020.

You can programme it to turn on in advance, so you can set it to start preheating just before you get home. Plus, it has a steam bake setting to help you achieve a great loaf, and a fold-down grill that makes it easier to clean the inside.

But the big question is: will you get great cooking results from this oven? We put it to the test in our lab - read our AEG BES355010M review to find out how it did.

If you'd like two ovens, but are pushed for space, then this built-under model from Bosch may fit the bill. Though it's a double oven, it will fit beneath a standard-height kitchen worktop.

The ovens are inevitably smaller than a full-size built-in oven, but this means they're quick to heat up, which could be a perk if you're not often cooking large batches.

The larger lower oven does have space for cooking on two levels - you could fit a joint of beef and a tray of roasties in there, for example. You could even fit a family-sized turkey in there at a push - perhaps literally! It's got telescopic shelf runners, which should make it easier to get things in and out.

Unlike the other two ovens featured here, this one will have you digging deep into your pockets. Right now, it's at John Lewis, Currys and AO for £890.

This new Zanussi model is a mid-range option, if you're after a double oven. It's currently retailing at around £400, but keep an eye out for deals, as we've seen it drop to £340 at Currys, AO and John Lewis.

Although it has no self-cleaning program, we found that both its ovens were easier to clean than most. There is a grill in each oven, and the grill elements fold down which helps with cleaning the ceilings.

It has a handy 'set and go' timer, which means you can set the oven to turn off automatically. So, if you pop out for longer than you planned, your dinner won't get overcooked.
